Full Description
A military building and associated features were visible as structures in RAF/HLA/564 V 6028 01-JUN-1942. They were located in the 'War Flight' area of RAF Manston.
They include a large building described as 'Battery Station' on a mid-20th century plan of the airfield (RAF Museum, Hendon, reference X004/2380). It was bunded on its western side. Two walls enclosed its eastern and southern sides, within which was also a small hut. An Ablutions Block stood outside the wall.
They were recorded as a demolished buildings/structures and levelled earthworks in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. They were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
