Full Description
A group of features including a weapons pit and huts of Second World War date were visible as structures and as an earthwork in RAF/HLA/564 V 6020 01-JUN-1942. They were located in the north-east corner of the aifield, inside a barbed wire entanglement and fenced off from the outfield.
The complex includes two larger huts, three small structures, an enclosed area and a small weapons pit. The features were recorded as demolished structures/levelled earthwork in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. They were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024.
