Full Description
During an archaeological excavation on land off Canterbury Road West, near Cliffsend, Thanet a number of features were uncovered, many of these contained finds which dated to the later prehistoric period. The features include pits, post holes and ditches and may represent agrarian and perhaps, domestic settlement in this area. The finds included flints and pottery datyed to the Neolithic, Bronze and and Iron age periods, though it is likley that much of it is resudual, it suggests that activity dating to these periods may be present within the landscape immediately surrounding the site.
