Full Description
Cropmark features were identified in a 2021 desk-based assessment at Minster, Thanet. Some of these features may date from the later prehistoric period, whilst others, particularly smaller semi-circular features, may be Anglo-Saxon in date and represent small mounds associated with burial sites. Numerous 'fairy rings' caused by fungal growth are visible in aerial photographs of this location including, for example, Next Perspectives APGB 25-MAY-2012 and Next Perspectives APGB 14-APR-2015. This area was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (2-3)
