Full Description

Three barracks huts and seven building platforms of 20th century date were seen as structures in RAF/HLA/564 V 6013 01-JUN-1942.

The ten huts drawn in these positions on a plan of RAF Manston dating to 7 April 1930 (RAF Museum, Hendon, reference MFC/78/24/0083) were described as 'Mens Quarters'. The huts had been demolished by the time of a mid-20th century plan of RAF Manston (RAF Museum, Hendon, reference X004/2380) and replaced by tents.

They were recorded as demolished buildings in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. They were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
