Full Description

Graves forming an Inhumation Cemetery of early Medieval date were visible as cropmarks in CUCAP BXA34 04-JUN-1976. They were previously recorded in MKE78227/TR 26 NE 263. Some 89 cropmarks representing probable grave cuts were mapped. A Bronze Age round barrow (MKE125818) appears to have formed the focus of this later cemetery. This feature was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1)
