Components of a ROTOR early warning radar station were mapped from aerial sources during the Historic England Isle of Thanet project (2024). Elements of the site mapped from aerial sources during the Historic England Isle of Thanet project (2024) are recorded separately.

The station was located on the site of Second World War Chain Home Low Station CHL03B. A large underground bunker was under construction during the early 1950s. The station was equipped with a mast, guardhouse and small buildings. The bunker was covered by an earthwork bank equipped with ventilation features.

The above ground structures were recorded as demolished structures on Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021 but a low earthwork over the bunker site is visible in LIDAR Environment Agency DSM 07-DEC-2017 and was discernable on the ground during a site visit in 2024. (1-2)
