Full Description

One of a group of six ring ditches likely to be the remains of Bronze Age round barrows visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs:Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 05-MAY-2018 and mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. This ring ditch has a diameter of 15m and the northern third is obscured by a large negative feature, possibly a medieal/post medieval extractive pit visible as a dark cropmark. This barrow lies on the northern edge of the cropmark remains of a large Romano-British settlement recorded in TR36NW238 (1)
