Full Description
A line of nine linear pits, possibly graves seen as a cropmark on aerial photographs : EARTH.GOOGLE.COM XX-APR-2017 and mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024 . They are all aligned W-E and positioned in N-S aligned group. They range in size from 1.6m x 0.9m and 2.7m x 1m. A tenth single elongated pit lies outside the group to the south-west. These features may be extractive pits or could be the remains of a line of possiby early medieval/Saxon graves. (1)
