Full Description
Early medieval pits were excavated on land at Bogshole Lane, Herne Bay in 2001. These features measured 0.4-0.6m in diameter and between 0.03-0.10m deep. One sherd of early medieval pottery was recovered from the fill of one of the pits. The only other find thought to originate from the early medieval phase of activity at the site was a bone needle.
