Full Description

Cropmark of a large rectangular enclosure of uncertain date with a central pit seen on aerial photographs at West Dumpton. The enclosure is defined by a very broad ditch between 2-3m wide. The enclosure itself measures 14m x 19.5. and has curved corners. A parallel broad ditch can be seen immediately to the south of the enclosure aligned E-W. Within the enclosure is a sing central pit 2.3m x 3.1m. This site has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the Historic England: Ramsgate HAZ project. (1)
