Full Description
A medieval ditch was identified during an evaluation at Queenborough Road, Isle of Sheppey carried out in 2022. The ditch had a V-shped profile and contained a fill of silty clay containing two pottery fragments dating from 1175-1400 AD, and some undated copper fragments.
Both sherds were Ashford/Wealden sandy ware with one containing sparse chalk/shell inclusions. (1)
