Full Description
Two undated ditches were identified at 2 Egbert Road, Faversham during an evaluation in 2023. Two of the features measured around 0.59-1.51m in width, and 0.18-0.72m in depth, whilst the other ditch extended beyond the limits of the excavation. One fragment of undated pottery was recovered from the fill of one of the ditches.
The features have been interpreted as potentially relating to the Roman road, as one of the features is broadly aligned with the road, or as relating to the Saxon burial ground to the east of the site. (1)
