Full Description
TQ 7571 7315. A Second World War military installation comprising eight small huts, regularly spaced along the west side of Lodge Hill Lane between the west send of Lodge Hill Armaments Depot and the east gate of the Chattenden Magazine enclosure. The huts are placed in a staggered pattern among trees, as if to provide concealment, although they do not appear to be protected by an enclosure or fence. The site seems to have been a storage facility, perhaps an ordnance store. It has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. (1-2)
