Summary

The cropmarks of a possible enclosure and ditch of uncertain date can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 2011. These fragmentary cropmarks describe a rectilinear feature and are situated to the east of Higham. A curving cropmark on the north side of the enclosure can be seen on air photos taken in 2004. These were mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.

Full Description

The cropmarks of a possible enclosure and ditch of uncertain date can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 2011. These fragmentary cropmarks describe a rectilinear feature and are situated to the east of Higham at TQ 7160 7163. A curving cropmark on the north side of the enclosure can be seen on air photos taken in 2004. These were mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.(1-2)
