Summary

The cropmark remains of two perpendicular ditches of uncertain date visible amongst geological marks in a field now destroyed by gravel extraction. The ditches may be part of a rectilinear enclosure or field boundaries and were mapped from aerial photographs taken in 1967 prior to the quarrying. They were mapped as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.

Full Description

The cropmark remains of two perpendicular ditches of uncertain date visible at TQ 8849 7695 amongst geological marks in a field now destroyed by gravel extraction. The ditches may be part of a rectilinear enclosure or field boundaries and were mapped from aerial photographs taken in 1967 prior to the quarrying. They were mapped as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. (1)
