Full Description
The earthwork remains of a small oval mound measuring 11m x 15m seen at TQ 8508 7701 on the eastern edge of Allhallows Marshes. This is probably an example of a 19th century or earlier stock refuge mound. This form of mound has been referred to and identified in a contemporary paper on the subject (Spurrell, 1885). This was mapped from Environment Agency lidar imagery as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. (1-2)
