Summary

The earthworks of a possible enclosure can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1947. This incomplete enclosure was situated on the marshes north of Damhead Creek. It was defined by narrow parallel ditches circa 2.4m apart which enclosed an area circa 56m by 39m. These cut and are therefore later than the post-medieval drainage present across the site. The site, which was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project, has since been levelled.

The earthworks of a possible enclosure can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1947. This incomplete enclosure was situated on the marshes north of Damhead Creek and is centred on TQ 8128 7315. It was defined by narrow parallel ditches circa 2.4m apart which enclosed an area circa 56m by 39m. These cut and are therefore later than the post-medieval drainage present across the site. The site, which was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project, has since been levelled. (1-2)
