Summary

The cropmark remains of a possible rectilinear enclosure of uncertain date visible as a cropmark. The site appears as an L-shaped ditch, possibly part of two sides of 42.5m and 43m linked by a slightly rounded 90 degree corner. This site was mapped from aerial photographs taken in 2011 as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.

Full Description

The cropmark remains of a possible rectilinear enclosure of uncertain date visible at TQ 8142 7818 as a cropmark. The site appears as an L-shaped ditch, possibly part of two sides of 42.5m and 43m linked by a slightly rounded 90 degree corner. This site and a number of other fragmented cropmarks including ditches and two ring ditches were mapped from aerial photographs taken by English Heritage in June 2011 as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
