Full Description
Vertical Datum: LAT Vessel, built 1899, sank near S Goodwin Lightvessel following a collision. Owned at time of loss by F S Ciampa and Figli, she was en-route Beni Saf to Rotterdam. (2) 01-APR-1927 Dispersed to a least depth of 50ft low water springs. 01-MAR-1961 Depth 62ft. 17-NOV-1961 Depth 61 in general depth 100ft, scour 105ft. 19-NOV-1969 Depth 17.8 in a general depth 27m, scour depth 29.4m, seabed is gently undulating, a fairly large wreck, lying NW/SE. 31-DEC-1970 Depth 17m in general depth 27m, scour 30m, uneven seabed,lying NW/SE with least depth at SE end, length 352ft, shallow scour all round wreck deepest at SE end at 30m. There is a small bank with 25m over it on N side. 07-JUN-1972 large steamship, no superstructure, depth 16 in general depth 26.5m. No scour, height 8.5m, length over 200ft, lying NW/SE. 25-JUL-1979. Least depth 16.2 in a general depth 28m, heightt 10m, scour 1.5m, lying 160/340deg, length 90m. Appears to have split in two, south portion shoalest. 30-APR-1981 Confirmation of wreck. 09-APR-1981 In 51 08 13N, 001 29 44E Depth 16.9 in general depth 27m, height 10.4m, length 110m, beam 22m, lying 165/345degs, partially dispersed.
