Important geological sequence record TQ 67 SW 1834 - Pleistocene and Holocene deposits, Stonebridge Stadium, Northfleet

Pleistocene deposits with probable in situ flint artefacts overlain by Holocene alluvial deposits were identified during a borehole survey carried out by QUEST in 2015. Worked flint was recovered from later deposits which was determined to potentially date to the Mesolithic period. Subsequent monitoring of the piling during construction recorded 9 worked flints, mostly upper palaeolithic or mesolithic in date (2)

Pleistocene deposits were also located during a 2014 ground investigation by EPS, although no artefacts were identified. (1)
