Full Description
A jam factory is visible on the 2nd edition OS map (1897-1900) with an associated tramway (TQ 64 NW 361). During the restoration of a historic pond in the vicinity of the site, a large number of jam jars from the factory were recovered from the fill of the feature, suggesting that rubbish from the factory had been dumped in the pond after the factory went out of use.
