Method of Fix: Aerial Photograph Interpretation Photograph Number: KCC 1961 Line 6: 2050 Method of Fix: Aerial Photograph Interpretation Photograph Number: KCC 1967 Line 33: 1261 Method of Fix: Aerial Photograph Interpretation Photograph Number: KCC 1985 Line 7: 6385 Registered No. 98801 A double-ended barge. One of three barges lying in the creek. From the photograph a transverse member or partition can be clearly seen one third of the way long its length. It also appears on the 1967 survey. The barge appears on the 1985 survey lying on a low tide in the mud of a much reduced channel. 1990 survey photograph not available during search. This barge has been identified as Maria. She was built at Murston by Smeed Dean in 1891 and owned successively by Smeed Dean. She was described as a barge yacht in 1934 and noted as derelict in 1948. Her remains were reported visible in 1986. (1). Wreck identified during 2002 survey and comprises the remains of barge (2).
