Full Description

Earthworks adjacent to West Cliffe church trenched in 1995. Medieval pit, probably filled in C15, possibly represents a small chalk quarry. This suggests limited Medieval activity in the area. Finds were mostly of ceramics (MD) and small quantities of bone and shell.

The earthworks are thought to be remains of agricultural activity and a golf course. (1)
