Monument record TQ 66 NW 61 - Medieval Ditches at New Barn Lane, Southfleet

Summary

Two roughly parallel ditches were located, containing a probable late bornze age sherd and a number of medieval pottery sherds. (c.12th-13th century). A V-shaped ditch was also located, containing pottery of the same medieval date. All three contained struck flints, but it is probable that all date to the medieval period. The features may relate to medieval activity in the area of Paddock Lodge.
