Monument record TQ 83 SE 55 - Brattle water mill
Summary
First marked on the tithe map of 1817 as "Brattle Water Mill" and described as a corn mill in 1876. The earliest reference to milling on the site is a lease of 1763 for 2 grist mills. Much of the building had been demolished and the adjacent tail race pond was filled by 1992.
