Full Description
Complex pattern of earthwork ditches, 2 parallel cross E-W and 1 crosses N-S effectively dividing the field into quarters. These are further sub-divided by feint traces of earthwork ditches. This field is interesting because the patterns formed by the earthwork features represent evidence of successive and changing land use from an early date. The mound located in the NE field corner is probably the site of an early building. It fits neatly into the pattern of small closes formed by the ditches and must have been contemporary. These are remnants of the extensive MD field system. Filled in pond probably C15, also located here. (1)
