Monument record TQ 64 SW 21 - Marl/iron pits near Badsell Park Farm, Pembury
Summary
A large group of pits located in Lord's Wood and on Colt's Hill. Many of the features are now water filled as ponds. Thought to be the remains of quarry pits. A possible relation to iron ore extraction has been suggested and thus there may be an association with an ironworking site at Badsell Park Farm.
