Full Description
1 blast shelter situated by the side of the main contamination building, the other in woodland 50m away. (1)
The decontamination building was locked so only inspected externally. The building is made of concrete and rectangular in shape (35mx11m) mainly single storey with a flat roof with a smaller rectangular addition on the eastern end and two tall chimneys at its western end. Contaminated personnel would have entered at the eastern end, stripped and passed their clothes through a slot aperture into bins. They would have then passed through an airlock to showers after which they would have moved into another room to recieve clean clothes and leave by the exit in the west.(2-3).
