Monument record TQ 57 SE 126 - Blackdale Farm Cottages
Summary
Site of Blackdale Farm. The place-name is first recorded in 1278/9 when it was named la Blakedeke, although the site may be earlier. The late medieval and post-medieval layout of the farm is shown on the 1841 Tithe Appointment Plan of Darenth. Due to wartime damage (damage unknown) the working farm was relocated to a new site and new buildings erected to the east adjacent to the south side of the Green Street Green Road in the 1950's.
