Summary

A large earthwork bank is situated in fields to the west of Godmersham near Court Lodge. This bank is thought to represent part of the pale fence for Godmersham Park. It survives for over 20m and a sporadically formed lynchet is in close association.

Full Description

Large earth bank forming part of the pale of Ford Park. Runs for over 20m along slope, also bank on the top of the Downs. Both boundaries are marked by earthworks, the former by a discontinuos lynchet, the latter by a bank. (Ditch on the down slope side). (1)
