Full Description
TQ6772 (Sited to Chalk. Roman buildings located at TQ676730) Roman beaker (1). Poppy-head beaker, as `black fine-grained coarse ware'. A fragment of a second is in chestnut brown sandy fabric, burnished and fired light grey-brown. The treatment of the base is characteristic of those from the Upchurch Marshes, among which sandy fabric is occasionally found. Looked from the site, and not examined (2).
