Full Description
A number of Medieval features and occupation layers were located during an archaeological evaluation undertaken at 11-16 Biggin Street, Dover. The features include cobbled yard surfaces and a possible post hole/robber trench. The material recovered from the associated occupation levels dates to between the 13th-14th centuries. These surfaces and layers probably represent gardens and yards behind building plots which would have fronted onto the north side of Biggin Street in the Medieval period. (1)
