Summary
A small, bowl-shaped pit cut into chalk was found near Monkton during work to improve the Thanet way in 1991. The fill of this pit contained a number of flints, waste flakes, mussel shells and two small sherds of prehistoric pottery. The precise date of these artefacts is uncertain and it is not known where they are now located.
