Monument record TR 26 NE 204 - Prehistoric ditch, St. Nicholas at Wade
Summary
A length of ditch was previously found near the Thanet Way close to St. Nicholas at Wade. The ditch was found cutting through a horizon rich in 13-14th century medieval pottery and artefacts. The ditch itself contained prehistoric pottery sherds. A further ditch at the site was found to contain worked flints and midden material as well as prehistoric pottery.

Full Description
Length of ditch cut through a horizon rich in C13-14 sherds and artefacts. It contained PR sherds in the fill and the section revealed that it had been recut. TSMR site 0581. (1) Additional ditch at TR 2725 6710, worked flints, PR sherds and midden material obtained from the fill. TSMR site 0580. (2)
