Monument record TR 26 NE 205 - Bronze Age or early Iron Age pit and possible post-hole, near Monkton roundabout
Summary
A pit was revealed near Monkton roundabout during work on the Thanet way. The fill of the pit was found to contain bones, shells and sherds of flint tempered pottery. The pottery has been identified as of late Bronze Age or early Iron Age in date. A possible post-hole was also noted in close proximity to this pit.
