Monument record TR 36 NE 346 - Prehistoric pit, Margate East County Primary School

Summary

A round pit feature was found during a watching brief. Removed from the fill of this feature were sea-shells and a large number of flints. Amongst the flint assemblage were calcined nodules, cores and waste flakes. It was not possible to date these materials. The proximity of Neolithic and early Bronze Age sites was seen as an good indication of the age of this feature. Two pits are visible as cropmarks on EARTH.GOOGLE.COM XX-APR-2017 ACCESSED 09-NOV-2023.
