Summary

A group of pits of uncertain date can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1950 and 2011. These are situated on the chalk on the eastern edge of Gravesend. They were mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
