Rectilinear cropmarks feature with three internal linear features and pit features. Identified from aerial photographs.

RCHME AP shows large, rectilinear enclosure with 3 short linear featues running inside. Pit features visible either side of the enclosure. (1)

An enclosure forming part of a settlement of Medieval date was visible as an earthwork in RAF/106G/UK/1131 RS 4007 17-JAN-1946. The large rectilinear enclosure measured about 240m by 198m on plan. It was defined by ditches with fragments of both internal and external banks. There were at least three major internal sub-divisions. The entrance appears to have been in the north-east corner.

This feature was recorded as a levelled earthwork on Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. It was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (2-3)
