Monument record TR 26 SE 30 - Enclosure and pit cropmark, Monkton

Summary

An irregular square shaped enclosure was previously identified in fields near Coxon's Hill to the south of Monkton. This feature was sighted from aerial photographs taken in the 1940's. The enclosure appeared to have an internal pit feature. It is not known if these features are still visible: they were not recorded in aerial photographs taken for the Royal Commission on the Historic Monuments of England as part of a cropmark plot for the whole of Kent.
