RCHME AP shows 2 L-shaped linear features, the largest containing a single-ditched, ring ditch. 4 macula features located outside.(1)

A number of cropmarks were previously identified by the previous authorities in fields to the north east of Monkton roundabout. Amongst the features reported were two L-shaped linear cropmarks, a single-ditched, ring ditch and four macula features surrounding these. The cropmarks were recorded from aerial photographs taken for the Royal Commission on the Historic Monuments of England and have since been mapped from aerial photographs: as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. These sites are now recorded separately as child records to this parent record.(2-4)
