Single circuit ring ditch without internal features (Bronze Age) sited to TQ 6781 7242 from good quality air photographs (site no. KE 134.1.1). Interpreted as round barrow. (1-2)

The cropmark of a single ring ditch, probably the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow located at TQ 6780 7239. This was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. The ring ditch is complete and has a diameter of c.12m. The cropmark remains of a slightly sinuous linear ditch, proably a former boundary of uncertain date, extends northwards from the ring ditch. The southern end of the ditch appears to curve around the NE edge of the barrow, apparently respecting it, presumably post-dating the barrow. The ditch has been recorded separately as NMR Monument :.
