Summary
An open chalkwell discovered in the early 1970s at Darland. The shaft was approximately 2m in diameter and widened to about 13m. There were no chambers visible but a trackway cut through the wood near to the hole was sighted.

Full Description
Open chalkwell discovered in early 1970s. The shaft was approx. 2m in diameter and widened to where the rubble come started at about 13m. No chambers visble. Track cut through the wood near to the hole. (1)
Probably one of three deneholes mentioned in TQ 76 NE 50.
