Monument record TQ 96 SE 65 - Mound and track at Syndale Farm, Stone
Summary
Standing almost on the brow of the hill to the west of Syndale Farm are one or two mounds, possibly barrows. Very little of them remain because of the effect of ploughing. A possibly post-medieval track runs alongside them, from the site of Beacon Farm to Watling Street. Archaeological excavations revealed a crushed flint surface of another trackway at TQ 9850 6123.
