Full Description
Two evaluation trenches were dug in 1996 at Osiers Farm and Trench 1 displayed pits and gullies, where 1st-2nd century AD Roman pottery was found. Unabraded Roman pottery was found in context in trench 2, which indicates that some hill-wash and flooding was occurring in the later Roman period (1). Additionmal references (2).
