Full Description
Site of the range finding station located immediately south east of the Cliff Road on the cliff prominence called The Cobbler. The largest feature is the rectangular foundations of a building 5m by 23m of raised concrete platform. Entered by two steps at the south west end. At the north east end a further two steps leads to living quarters with a WC (2mx4m) with drain in one corner. A further 2m square structure lay immediately to the south east. Lying approximately 10m to the south east, towards the cliff edge are three circular concrete bases. Between these and the building foundations is a small hole, covered with vegetation. A wooden lintel covered with corregated tin is partially exposed. This may be the entrance to an underground bunker, which is opening up as the debris infill rots away (1)
