A series of weak linear trends recorded in the northeastern part of the survey area appear to coincide with the enclosure revealed as a cropmark on APs. The responses are magnetically weak and were not detected during the scan. A magnetic response (E) appears to be ferrous and is likely to be modern in origin. However, the possibility that it is a fired structure such as a kiln or hearth that has been disturbed by modern ploughing cannot be dismissed entirely.

A strong anomaly running along the eastern edge of the survey area is believed to indicate the course of a former paleochannel.

A series of broad linear anomalies, orientated approximately southwest-northeast may represent the alignment of former ridge and furrow cultivation. Alternatively these resonses could have been produced by natural variations in the underlying soils.

A large ferrous resonse in the centre of the eastern edge of the survey area is due to an electricity pole. Ferrous disturbance along the western edge has been produced by an adjacent fence. (1)
