Full Description

During a watching brief at Vines Garage, Crow Lane, a cut observed in a trench was found. It is thought to represent the outer edge of the city ditch at its south east corner. (1)

During a watching brief in 2009 carried out by Canterbury Archaeological Trust to the rear of 16 Crow Lane, the edge of the medieval town ditch was observed. It was evidently partially infilled by dumps of material in the mid to late 18th century. (2)
