Monument record TQ 73 NW 20 - Possible 15-17th century drainage ditch, West Road, Goudhurst
Summary
A possible drainage ditch was found during a watching brief on construction works at an old school. The feature was dated to the 15th - 17th centuries on the basis of pottery found within a horticultural layer in the fill. An artefact tentatively identified as a lead cloth seal was also found within the ditch.
