Full Description
During an evaluation in September 2000 several features of Romano-British date were recorded. These features mainly consisted of ditches, but a quantity of tile and tegula fragments suggests that there may be a structure in the vicinity and that the centre of the activity lies in the south-east of the excavation site. (1)
In 2000 Pre-Construct Archaeology carried out an excavation. There were at least two phases of activity. The focus of occupation is thought to be near to the site, with domestic refuse found in the ditches.
